FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DRM Technology
Rockville, MD. LT Industries has introduced the Dynamic Reference
Module. The device adds on-the-fly spectrophotometric referencing
flexibility to NIR analyzers without the need or expense of optical
multiplexing. The module is designed to be mounted between a fiber
optic measuring channel and the NIR spectrometer. It permits
frequent reference spectrum acquisition without disturbing the
measuring loop. When asked if the device constitutes a double-beam
or dual-beam design, developer Isaac Landa responded, "To be
accurate, it is a single-channel-with reference device." He went on to
point out that the module provides full optical throughput for virtually
all of the measuring cycle, thus enhancing the available
signal-to-noise ratio. Double and dual beam approaches provide
frequent re-referencing only at the expense of measuring energy.
Company officials say that the new device is fully compatible with
past and future systems.
