ParaFuel™ Analyzer
Fuel-Laboratory NIR analyzer
Rockville, MD. LT Industries has introduced the ParaFuel™
Fuel-laboratory NIR Analyzer. The new system is designed for hard use
in motor-fuel refinery support laboratories. Because it includes LT
Industries' Universal Fuel Calibration spectral library, the ParaFuel
system can test for Research and Motor Octane Numbers, aromatic
and aliphatic composition and oxygenate compounds. The ParaFuel
system is built around an LT Industries Quantum™-series NIR
spectrometer, which gives it additional capability for analysis of
physical properties such as Reid Vapor Pressure, cloud point and pour
point. The latter, together with cetane number routines, make the
system applicable to Diesel fuel analysis.
The ParaFuel system uses a benchtop A/R Cell™ for sampling -- an
absolute reference device which prevents errors due to changes in the
optical measuring train. The new system is expected to support both
quality control needs and model development for refinery blending
operations.
