FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Quantum 1800
Rockville, MD. LT Industries has introduced the Quantum 1800™
NIR Analyzer. The new system uses the company's patented
harmonic drive oscillator for rapid-scan grating drive. In this
configuration the system will scan the full NIR spectrum five times
each second while insuring long-term stability. Electronics for the
new system include SPX technology -- LT Industries' embedded
multi-function processor. Its true multi-function capability allows
both sophisticated signal processing and communication over long
distances.
Designed for both bench and at-line monitoring of chemical
production, the Quantum 1800 system has the option of up to twenty
multiple-point analyses. The system is designed to deliver a very
favorable price-performance ratio. Company officials say that the
coupled technology found in the new system will be extended to its
on-line process analyzers
